World Zones Winterspring Corruption Quest objectives Find the Black Guard Swordsmith in Stratholme and destroy him. Recover the Insignia of the Black Guard and return to Seril Scourgebane.
Description If I am short with you, it is for a reason. The plans for the creation of the great blade, Corruption, have been stolen by the Black Guard: Elite skeletal units of Baron Rivendare.
Yes, Baron Rivendare of Stratholme.
The Black Guard swordsmith now guards those plans with his... undeath.
Slay him and return proof of this deed and I shall grant you the knowledge required to create a blazing rapier!
Rewards Also listed in the Classic record:
These are Classic item reward relations. Current item pages show their own client stats; the relation is not a verified Forever reward.
Sources & reference status Classic reference Historical names, quests, requirements, rewards, services and NPC locations come from CMaNGOS classic-db contributors , pinned Classic 1.12 milestone. They need confirmation in Forever. Quest identities are limited to IDs present in the Forever 70532 QuestV2 table. An ID does not confirm the Classic text, reward, level or location.
Maps: Blizzard Entertainment, extracted client build 1.60.1.70374. Coordinates use the same revealed maps and world-coordinate projection as the Hunter atlas. A source spawn is a place to check; no current sighting, path or respawn time is inferred.
Pet records, where shown, are separately attributed to TrueshotLodge by chazlander (MIT). A dated tame report confirms a reported tame, not every coordinate. .
