Getting there

Eastern Plaguelands · Stratholme

The main gate is in northwestern Eastern Plaguelands. The service gate farther east provides a separate approach to the Undead side.

KEYS & OPTIONAL ACCESS

  • Key to the City

    Classic reference: Key to the City from Magistrate Barthilas opens the service entrance.

  • The Scarlet Key

    Classic reference: The Scarlet Key opens the Scarlet Bastion route.

Agree on the run

  • Choose Scarlet or Undead before the trip; the two routes serve different bosses and quests.
  • For the Classic service-gate route, bring Key to the City. The Scarlet Bastion uses The Scarlet Key.

The Scarlet route crosses the city into the bastion and ends with Balnazzar.

On the Undead route, clear the three ziggurats and their occupants, then continue through the abomination event to Ramstein and Baron Rivendare.
