Horde · RACE GUIDE
Skyborne (Windshaper)
The Horde's Skyborne path preserves its bond with elemental wind spirits. Windshapers pair a controlled downward glide with a travel-speed blessing, passive haste and extra damage against Elementals. Their class selection includes Shaman; the Alliance profile offers Mage instead.
THE RACE BEHIND THE TOOLKIT
Meet Skyborne (Windshaper)
The Skyborne descend from Highborne exiles who made a pact with wind spirits in Skywall. Their journey begins on Zephras Isle as those spirits disappear and their island's future becomes uncertain.
Windshapers choose the Horde and seek to restore their elemental mentors and traditions. You choose this allegiance when creating the character. Warriors, Hunters, Rogues and Druids are shared with the High Order; Shaman is the Windshaper-specific class option.
What this means while you play
- Walk on Air is a ten-second downward glide with directional control and a 90-second cooldown. It provides a traversal tool; the documented effect does not grant unrestricted flight.
- Skysight increases movement speed by 15% for 15 seconds. Using it at an elemental convergence also grants Charged, a one-hour buff that persists through death: while Charged, each 15-second Skysight gives 30% instead of 15%. It is not 30% speed for an hour.
- Wind Blessed supplies 2% passive spellcasting, melee and ranged haste (3% before October 26). Elemental Insight’s damage increase applies only to Elementals; keep that condition separate from the general haste benefit.
Practical interpretation of the listed abilities; this is not a damage ranking.
