ENGINEERING · THE 150 → 225 STEP
Expert Engineering raises your skill cap to 225. The established capital-city routes are Ironforge and Orgrimmar.
THE SHORT ANSWER
The published Forever trainer reference lists Springspindle Fizzlegear in Ironforge for Alliance and Roxxik in Orgrimmar for Horde. It lists Engineering 125 and character level 20 for this rank. Its author notes that not every trainer has been checked in Forever.

◆RoxxikYour profession has both a skill value and a rank. Journeyman caps that skill at 150. Continuing to make recipes cannot push the number above the cap: you need the next rank first.
Expert raises the cap to 225. Learning it does not instantly give you 75 skill points. You still increase the skill through crafting after the unlock.
The 150 → 225 unlock is Expert. The later 225 → 300 unlock is Artisan. Gnomish and Goblin Engineering are specializations and should not be confused with these skill-cap ranks.
The Classic reference lists Buzzek Bracketswing in Gadgetzan for Artisan, with skill 200 and character level 35 as its training requirements. That is a separate, historical route; it is not a reason to travel to Tanaris when you only need the 150 → 225 step.
Our Engineering recipe book connects the item output to each reagent. Use it to inspect whether a device, weapon or equipment craft is useful to you. Recipe data does not establish who currently sells or teaches it, so use the trainer window to confirm the acquisition before purchasing a large material stack.
Classic leveling shopping lists can also differ from the Forever material list. Compare the specific recipe rather than treating a historical 1–300 shopping list as a current beta shopping list.
